About me

  • Violinist of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich
  • Co-founder of the violin school “Zaubergeige”
  • Master of Music in Violin Performance
  • Certified Suzuki teacher (European Suzuki Association)
  • Diploma for Music School Direction VMS

Born in Geneva, I grew up playing the violin from age 5 in a Suzuki class. After I completed my professional musical studies at the Haute École de Genève, I transferred to the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where I earned my Master of Music in Violin Performance and a Graduate Performance Diploma in 2005. During my studies I was awarded a number of prizes and scholarships and performed in different parts the world in various ensembles and as a soloist.

In 2005 I joined the Tonhalle orchestra of Zurich. Soon after I co-founded the small violin class “Zaubergeige” with my friend and colleague, violinist Cathrin Kudelka and teach since then with great joy as a certified Suzuki violin teacher (European Suzuki Association). Recently, I followed a two-year curriculum in Music Management at the Bern University of the Arts, and received a Diploma for Music School Direction from the VMS. I also worked part-time for the Education Department of the Tonhalle Orchestra in Zurich for two years. I regularly serve as a jury member during exams and admissions into various swiss institutions, as well as in swiss music competitions.

I live in Zurich with my husband and our two children. Along with music, I love children, nature, creativity… and coffee! Everyone – every child – should be given the chance to discover their own interests and talents, and learn how to follow their inner voice. Music is a great means to hearing one’s inner voice and I love accompanying my students on their musical journey.
